Note re Robert Shepherd: Robert โ€œBobโ€ Shepherd, 83, of Greeley, CO, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2005, at his residence. Bob was born March 24, 1921 to George Washington and Susan E. (Pickeral) Shepherd in Oshkosh, Nebraska. He married Ruth Mae Harry on June 20, 1942 in Sidney, Nebraska. He received his education in Oshkosh and worked at the Diamond Ranch in Chugwater until being drafted into the U. S. Army. The family moved to Colorado in 1948. The family ranched in Walden and then moved to Platteville, and they had been residents of Greeley for the last 13 years. He worked for the Farmers Reservoir and Irrigation Company for 15 years until he retired and moved to Greeley. He was a wonderful artist and collected bits and spurs. He bred and trained Appaloosa horses and was a former president of the Rangerbred Horse Association. Surviving Bob is his wife, Ruth Shepherd of Greeley, CO; sons, Robert H. Shepherd and wife Ginny of Platteville, CO and Ronald Shepherd and wife Denise of Alberta, Canada; daughter, Patsy and husband Patrick Cox of Milliken, CO; sister, Joyce and husband George Ehmann of Byers, CO; brother, Don Shepherd of Georgia; seven grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. from http://www.tributes.com/show/Robert-G.-Shepherd-66647572 Source: appaloosaterritory.com CRHA registry, crha701.html
